Built by hand in South California, this Lace Cigar Box Guitar has a singular three-string setup and an authentic sounding and authentically styled cigar-box body. The tuning is simple: a high and low G string with a D in the middle, which supports insanely intuitive playing, whether or not you know your way around a six-string guitar or a four-string bass.

The OG Cigar Box

In seventeenth century America, guitars were already being built out of empty cigar boxes, and it's exactly these models that the Lace Cigar Box range is honouring. The box itself has been built from mahogany plywood and given a fitting, throwback design before being equipped with a Canadian hard rock maple neck, mounted with a bridge complete with four adjustable saddles, and kitted out with a dual-purpose volume pot that also serves as a push-pull coil tap switch, so the output can be varied from full and fat to something more refined and sparkling as needed.
